UFood Grill began as LoFat NoFat in Watertown, Massachusetts in 1997 and subsequently changed its name to KnowFat! Lifestyle Grille. In late 2007 the company decided to change its name to UFood Grill to better convey the broad appeal of its menu. The first UFood Grill stores were opened in 2007 and the company will convert all KnowFat! Lifestyle Grille locations to the UFood Grill brand in 2008.
